Railway Infrastructure Maintenance Specialist

Network Rail is seeking a skilled Railway Infrastructure Maintenance Specialist to join our team in Wales and Western region.
About the RoleThis specialist will be responsible for maintaining, inspecting and repairing land alongside the track network to ensure the railway remains safe and efficient. The role includes vegetation management, drainage, and ancillary structures.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintain and repair infrastructure to prevent faults and ensure smooth train operations.
- Inspect and identify potential issues with tracks, drains, and other equipment.
- Work safely and efficiently in all weather conditions, often at high speeds.
- Leadership skills: Ability to lead and motivate teams for safe work delivery.
- Effective communication: Strong communication skills to deliver clear instructions.
- Technical skills: Knowledge of inspection, faulting, maintenance, and renewal techniques.
- Safety-focused: Consistently model safe behaviors and challenge potential risks.
- Problem solver: Persistent in finding safe and effective solutions.
- Willingness to learn: Continuously develop technical skills and competencies.
- NVQ Level 1 or 2 (or equivalent experience): Relevant qualification preferred.
- Competitive salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum (dependent on experience).

Please note that shifts may involve days, nights, and weekends. Outdoor working requires comfort in different conditions.
