Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Social Worker to join our team at the Kent and Medway NHS and Social Care Partnership Trust, providing mental health services to women experiencing acute perinatal mental health issues.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Mother & Baby Unit (MBU) multi-disciplinary team, providing social worker practice and support across the Unit.

The post holder will be responsible for the delivery of social work services, ensuring the needs of individual mothers and their babies are met.

Key responsibilities include assessment, support planning, and providing 1-1 strength-based therapeutic interventions.

The ideal candidate will have experience working within perinatal mental health and/or children and family social services, and will be committed to the development and clinical leadership of the MBU.

Main Duties of the Job

  • Work with the MBU multi-disciplinary team to provide social worker practice and support across the Unit.
  • Deliver social work services, ensuring the needs of individual mothers and their babies are met.
  • Provide social care advice to staff and take a lead role in safeguarding for the MBU.

The successful applicant will receive an additional payment each month, as this post is based in Dartford, Gravesham or Swanley.
