About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Counsel and Company Secretary to join our team at Churchill Living (Developments) PLC. As a key member of our Executive Team, you will provide strategic legal advice to our Executive Directors and Operations Board, ensuring that our business operations are compliant with all relevant laws and regulations.

As a senior legal professional, you will have a proven track record of providing commercial and pragmatic legal advice to senior management and the Board. You will be responsible for developing and implementing our company's legal strategy, working closely with our in-house legal team and external counsel to achieve our business objectives.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing legal advice to the Executive Directors and Operations Board on a range of commercial and corporate matters
  • Developing and implementing our company's legal strategy, including the management of external counsel and the development of internal legal policies and procedures
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, including corporate governance and company secretary statutory responsibilities
  • Leading and managing a team of legal professionals, including the development of their skills and expertise

About You

We are looking for an individual with a strong commercial and legal background, ideally from the housebuilding or property sector. You will have a proven track record of providing commercial and pragmatic legal advice to senior management and the Board, and will be well-versed in corporate governance and company secretary statutory responsibilities.

You will be a qualified solicitor with a minimum of 5 years' PQE, and will hold a Chartered Secretary qualification such as ICSA or equivalent. You will be a team player, able to work closely with colleagues and external stakeholders to achieve our business objectives.
