The Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Legal Advisor to join our team, reporting directly to our Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. As a key member of our leadership team, you will provide strategic legal advice on a range of commercial matters, including corporate governance, company secretary responsibilities, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert legal advice on corporate governance, company secretary responsibilities, and regulatory compliance
- Develop and implement a comprehensive legal strategy to support the company's growth plans
- Collaborate with the Executive Directors and Operations Board to ensure effective decision-making and risk management
- Manage a team of legal professionals and provide guidance and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality legal services
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards
Requirements
- Qualified solicitor with 5 years PQE (or equivalent) and Chartered Secretary qualification (ICSA or equivalent)
- Proven experience in private practice and as an in-house lawyer for a growing commercial business
- Strong commercial and legal background, with expertise in corporate governance and company secretary responsibilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute to the development of the company's legal strategy
