Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as a Mental Health Service Lead at Hampshire County Council. As a key member of our South East Mental Health and Substance Misuse Team, you will be responsible for providing leadership and guidance to the team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to adults in our community.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the team in providing person-centred, strengths-based social care support, empowering individuals to maximise their independence and quality of life.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to improve service delivery and respond to changes in the environment.
  • Maintain excellent relationships with partner agencies and stakeholders, applying robust knowledge and legal frameworks.
  • Oversee safeguarding enquiries involving high-risk scenarios and provide guidance to staff members.

Essential Requirements:
  • Social Work qualification and registration with Social Work England (SWE).
  • At least 5 years of experience in managing complex cases, supervising staff, and making senior-level decisions.
  • Proven ability to solve problems, assess risks, and communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated commitment to our organisation's values and behaviours, showcasing compassion, empathy, and respect.
