About the Role

This exciting opportunity as an Adult Therapist is now available within our Children's Psychological Services team. As a specialist therapist, you will provide assessment and therapeutic interventions to children, young people, and their families/carers. With a strong focus on evidence-based practice, you will contribute to the broader aims of the service through joint working and consultation as required.

We are committed to Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and supervision, fostering innovation and development within our dynamic and supportive team. You will join an established service comprising Clinical Psychologists, Specialist Therapists, Trainee, and Assistant Psychologists. Our close links with local Psychiatry Services in East Lancashire ensure seamless collaboration and shared expertise.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills in working with complex presentations seen in Children and Young People's Psychological Services. We invite suitably qualified clinicians with experience of theory, assessment, and intervention to apply for this position.

Main Duties
  • Provide specialist assessments and therapeutic interventions based on evidence-based therapeutic models to children, young people, and their families/carers, working as part of Children & Young People's Psychological Services.
  • Communicate effectively and liaise with children, young people, their families/carers regarding their psychological care in the service.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • NMC Registered Mental Health Nurse, Certificate of Qualification in Social Work (CQSW), Diploma in Social Work (DipSW), MA Social Work, or BA/BSc Hons Social Work, BSc (Hons) Occupational Therapy, MSc Occupational Therapy, or Diploma of the College of Occupational Therapists (DipCOT) or other relevant core profession.
  • Further training/experience in relevant specialist therapeutic approaches with complex cases, knowledge of legislation in relation to the client group and mental health, and knowledge of safeguarding procedures.
Estimated Salary: £40,000 - £60,000 per annum
