Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust provides a range of services, including secondary mental health care across this area. We are seeking a highly skilled Adult Therapist to join our CYPMH Psychological Services East Lancs team.

Job Description

The successful candidate will provide specialist assessments and clinical interventions to children, young people, and parents/carers referred to the service. This role requires effective communication and liaison with children, young people, their families/carers regarding their psychological care in the service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide assessment and therapeutic interventions based on evidence-based therapeutic models to children, young people, and their families/carers.
  • Contribute to the broader aims of the service through joint working and consultation as required.

Requirements

  • NMC Registered Mental Health Nurse, Certificate of Qualification in Social Work (CQSW), Diploma in Social Work (DipSW), MA Social Work, or BA/BSc Hons Social Work, BSc (Hons) Occupational Therapy, MSc Occupational Therapy, or Diploma of the College of Occupational Therapists (DipCOT) or other relevant core profession.
  • Experience of providing specialist therapeutic assessment and treatment of children, young people, and their parents or carers in Children's Psychological Services or Specialist CAMHS or similar specialist therapeutic service.
