About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ward Manager to join our team at South Warwickshire University NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for providing strong visible leadership to all staff within the ward and across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership for the implementation of quality initiatives such as Care Excellence Accreditation, PCIs and Health roster KPIs.
  • Ensure a strong team focus on high quality, clinically effective healthcare that meets our patients' needs.
  • Develop and maintain a strong culture of Infection Prevention & Control awareness & practice.
  • Participate in patient acuity studies measuring patient dependency and nurse to bed ratio.
  • Develop and lead a team that seeks to actively resolve complaint/concerns at local level.

Requirements

  • First Level Nurse qualification.
  • Post-registration management qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in nurse management, with a minimum of 36 months experience at band 6 within an acute hospital setting.
  • Sound knowledge of evidence-based practice and audit process.
