Job Title: Deputy Surgical Ward Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Registered Mental Health Nurse to join our team as a Deputy Surgical Ward Manager. About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Ward Manager in the day-to-day management of the ward, including the assessment of care needs, development of care plans, and evaluation of patient outcomes. You will also be expected to provide clinical leadership and support to the nursing team, ensuring that patients receive the highest standard of care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Ward Manager in the management of the ward, including the assessment of care needs and development of care plans.
  • Provide clinical leadership and support to the nursing team, ensuring that patients receive the highest standard of care.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to improve patient care and outcomes.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery.
Requirements
  • Registered Mental Health Nurse with current registration with the NMC.
  • Experience of working in a mental health setting, preferably in a leadership or management role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
