We are seeking an experienced Clinical Lead Occupational Therapist to join our team at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. This is a rewarding opportunity for an individual who is passionate about delivering high-quality care and leading teams of occupational therapists.

Job Summary:

  • This is a clinical leadership role, focusing on the development and delivery of occupational therapy services within our neurological teams.
  • You will lead and manage a team of occupational therapists, providing supervision, support, and guidance to ensure excellent patient outcomes.
  • The successful candidate will have extensive experience working in acute physical settings, with a strong background in neurological care.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of occupational therapists in the delivery of evidence-based practice, promoting excellence in patient care.
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure consistency and quality in occupational therapy services.
  • Provide expert clinical advice and guidance to junior staff members, ensuring they receive the necessary support to excel in their roles.
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, fostering effective communication and cooperation to achieve outstanding patient outcomes.
  • Promote research, audit, and quality improvement initiatives, driving innovation and best practices within the department.
  • Maintain accurate records, reporting, and evaluation, adhering to trust standards and guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must hold a Diploma in Occupational Therapy (Dip RCOT) or a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy (BSc OT).
  • HCPC registration is mandatory, along with a portfolio demonstrating ongoing professional development.
  • Desirable: Membership of the Royal College of Occupational Therapists (RCOT) and/or participation in neuro specialist sections or relevant special interest groups.
  • Essential skills include experience working in the NHS, preferably in an acute physical setting, and expertise in neurological care.
