About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Facilities Management Specialist to join our team at the NMR Facility at King's College London. The successful candidate will be responsible for the operational management of the facility, including financial oversight, people management, reporting, health and safety, equipment maintenance, and business development.

The post holder will provide expert guidance in experimental design, implementation, data collection, and analysis to facility users. They will be responsible for the management, support, and future development of the NMR Facility, ensuring it continues to support the needs of our researchers.

This is a full-time post (35 hours per week), and you will be offered an indefinite contract.

Key Responsibilities

  1. PhD qualified in a relevant subject area, or equivalent experience.
  2. Relevant experience and track record in Biological NMR and/or Structural Biology, including data collection and analysis for complex multidimensional NMR experiments.
  3. Experience of some elements of facility management, for example, dealing with day-to-day operations in a similar facility, staff supervision, procurement, or financial processes.
  4. Excellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex findings verbally and to write scientific reports to a high standard.
  5. A good knowledge of health and safety procedures and its implementation in the workplace.
  6. Ability to deal and interact positively with a wide range of people to develop working relationships with team members, academics, and clinical and administrative staff.
