Postdoctoral Research Associate

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Postdoctoral Research Associate to join our team at the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine (LSTM). As a key member of our Biostatistics Unit, you will contribute to the design and analysis of clinical trials and observational studies, and develop cutting-edge methodological research in translational research.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and conduct clinical trials and observational studies
  • Develop and deploy statistical tools for clinical and epidemiological research
  • Perform statistical analyses of data and communicate findings in peer-reviewed publications
  • Collaborate with research teams on study design and sample size preparation for grant applications
  • Provide statistical support to non-statistical researchers
  • Lead on the design, implementation, and conduct of clinical trials and epidemiological studies in low-resource settings
Requirements:
  • PhD or equivalent experience in statistics or a related field
  • Experience in statistics in applied research and epidemiological research
  • Knowledge of statistical theory and applications
  • Proven ability to write up and present research results
  • Proficiency in SAS/Stata/R for data management and statistical analysis
