Project Overview
This postdoctoral research position is available in the group of Professor Andrew Cooper FRS to carry out research in organic porous materials. The project focuses on expanding the practical scope of non-metal organic frameworks (N-MOFs), building on recent breakthroughs (Nature, 2024, 630, 102).

Responsibilities
The successful candidate will have a research background in crystalline porous frameworks and a PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related fields. Strong teamwork skills, a proven aptitude for collaboration, and specific technical skills are essential. The candidate will work closely with others to develop new automated workflows and contribute to the design and synthesis of new classes of porous materials.

Opportunities
The project offers a unique opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art laboratory, the Materials Innovation Factory, and the Autonomous Chemistry Laboratory. The successful candidate will have the chance to gain experience that could help launch a career in academia or industry. The project supervision will be provided by Professor Andrew Cooper FRS.

Duration and Salary
The post is available for 2 years. If the candidate is still awaiting their PhD, they will be appointed at Grade 6, spine point 30. Upon written confirmation that they have been awarded their PhD, their salary will be increased to Grade 7, spine point 31.
