About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Counsellor to join our team as a Supervising Counsellor. As a key member of our school-based therapy team, you will play a vital role in supporting the well-being of children and young people.

As a Supervising Counsellor, you will be responsible for leading a team of Counsellors, assessing and formulating referrals, and overseeing the therapeutic work within the school. You will also deliver some therapeutic interventions with children, including group and whole-class work.

Working closely with our schools-based teams, you will contribute to the development of our clinical delivery of services, ensuring that we provide the best possible support to our students. You will also have opportunities to share best practice, develop your clinical thinking, and access a wide range of training and development opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of Counsellors, providing clinical supervision and guidance.
  • Assess and formulate referrals, determining the most effective therapeutic interventions.
  • Oversee the delivery of therapeutic work within the school, ensuring high-quality services.
  • Deliver some therapeutic interventions with children, including group and whole-class work.
  • Contribute to the development of our clinical delivery of services, ensuring that we provide the best possible support to our students.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Therapist/Counsellor with a minimum of 1 year's experience.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with experience of supervising and mentoring teams.
  • Excellent clinical skills, with a deep understanding of child and adolescent development.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with schools-based teams, contributing to the development of our clinical delivery of services.
