Overview

At Relais & Châteaux, we are committed to delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests. We are seeking a skilled Chef De Partie to join our team at SOURCE, a Michelin-starred restaurant. As a culinary expert, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest quality of dishes, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, and contributing to the success of our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation and Cooking: Prepare and cook dishes according to recipes, guidelines, and instructions within the open kitchen. Ensure that the quality, taste, and presentation of dishes meet the established standards.
  • Culinary Techniques: Execute culinary techniques specific to the assigned section, taking into account the quality, taste, and presentation of dishes.
  • Kitchen Setup and Organisation: Assist in the setup and organisation of the assigned section before service, ensuring that all necessary ingredients, equipment, and tools are available and in proper working order.
  • Cleanliness and Safety: Maintain a clean, tidy, organised, and safe working environment at all times, adhering to strict food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Ingredient Inventory Management: Assist in the management of ingredient inventory for the assigned section, ensuring proper stock rotation, storage, and labelling, and notifying senior chefs of any shortages or discrepancies.
Requirements
  • Culinary Qualification: Hold a culinary qualification or have experience in a professional kitchen.
  • Food Hygiene Qualification: Possess a food hygiene qualification.
  • Previous Experience: Have previous experience in a professional kitchen, preferably in a similar role.
  • Culinary Skills: Possess strong culinary skills with knowledge of various cooking techniques and kitchen equipment, particularly in the pastry section.
  • Attention to Detail: Demonstrate attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality dishes.
  • Food Safety and Hygiene: Understand and adhere to food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Teamwork and Communication: Possess excellent teamwork and communication skills to effectively collaborate with the kitchen team.
  • Flexibility: Be flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as per the demands of the restaurant.
  • Physical Stamina: Possess physical stamina and dexterity to stand for long periods, lift heavy pots and pans, and perform repetitive tasks.
Additional Information

We offer a competitive salary starting from £32,500, gratuities allocated on a points basis, and a range of benefits, including a canteen, company events, company pension, discounted or free food, employee discount, free or subsidised travel, gym membership, and on-site parking. Relocation assistance may be available. Staff transport is provided free between staff houses and the hotel.
