About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Registered Nurse to join our team in the Clinical Decisions Unit (CDU) within the Emergency Department at Lister Hospital.

As a Registered Nurse in the CDU, you will be responsible for conducting clinical assessments of patients, including observations and pain levels, and ensuring early detection of any deterioration or changes.

You will also assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care needs of patients from admission to discharge home or transfer to the inpatient wards.

Key responsibilities include administering medications, treatments, and interventions prescribed, ensuring adherence to Trust policies, guidelines, and procedures.

You will work closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic patient care and maintain accurate, comprehensive, and timely documentation of patient care.

Person Specification

We are looking for a Registered Nurse with experience in an Emergency Department or ward environment, who is committed to lifelong learning and has good communication skills.

Essential qualifications include being registered on part 1, part 2, or part 12 of the NMC register, and having BLS/ILS training.

Desirable qualifications include evidence of ongoing professional development and assessing and mentorship qualifications.
