Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Clinical Decisions Unit (CDU) within the Emergency Department at East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust.
The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting clinical assessments of patients admitted to CDU, including observations and pain levels, ensuring early detection of any deterioration or changes.
Key responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care needs of patients from admission to discharge home or transfer to the inpatient wards.
The ideal candidate will have experience within an Emergency department or equivalent ward environment, with a commitment to lifelong learning and a strong understanding of Trust policies and guidelines.
Main Duties
Conduct clinical assessments of patients admitted to CDU, including observations and pain levels
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care needs of patients from admission to discharge home or transfer to the inpatient wards
Assist in developing, implementing, and evaluating individualized care plans for patients based on clinical assessment
Administer medications, treatments, and interventions prescribed, ensuring adherence to Trust policies, guidelines, and procedures
