Job Overview

A strategic commercial manager position has become available at Ultra Precision Control Systems, a leading developer of mission and safety-critical equipment in the defence and aerospace industry. We are seeking an experienced professional to join our commercial function and contribute to the success of our business.

This role is responsible for negotiating contracts and ensuring compliance with contractual terms. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to implement effective commercial strategies that underpin the achievement of IPT objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement commercial strategies to support IPT projects and programmes.
  • Negotiate contracts and subcontracts with customers and suppliers.
  • Manage commercial aspects of bids, including drafting terms and conditions.
  • Lead contract negotiations and ensure effective contract management throughout project lifecycles.
  • Implement commercial governance policies and procedures to ensure compliance with company standards.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing complex major contract negotiations, a detailed knowledge of commercial governance, and a bachelor's degree in a relevant field. They should also possess excellent communication and leadership skills, as well as the ability to influence people and develop others.
