About the Role

We are seeking enthusiastic casual lead coaches to deliver a range of engaging sessions designed to get individuals of all ages and abilities more active across the East Riding.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver positive lifestyle programmes to reduce anti-social behaviour, build confidence, and promote physical activity among young people.
  • Develop and facilitate healthy schools programmes to promote physical activity and well-being among school children.
  • Lead community sessions to engage young people, adults, and vulnerable groups as part of promoting independence and community building programmes.
  • Coordinate Active Coast programmes to lead a variety of sessions, such as beach sports, multi-sports, and family boot camp sessions.
  • Assist in developing session plans, completing participant registrations, and conducting health and safety checks.
  • Record session feedback and contribute to the improvement of programmes.

Requirements

  • A flexible and proactive approach to delivering sport and physical activities.
  • A level 2 qualification in sport, fitness, youth work, play work, or an equivalent field.
  • Recent safeguarding and emergency first aid qualifications.
  • Experience in delivering activities across various settings, including schools, leisure centres, and community venues.
  • Experience working with diverse groups, including young people, families, adults, and vulnerable individuals.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.
  • Flexibility to work daytime, evenings, and weekends as needed.
  • A full driving licence and access to a car to attend sessions across the East Riding.
  • Commitment to safeguarding.
