Job Description

As a Unpaid Work Supervisor with East Ayrshire Council, you will be responsible for providing direct supervision and support to service users who have been issued with unpaid work orders. Your role will involve ensuring individuals are fully aware of their responsibility to comply with the order and the standards of work performance to be maintained.

Requirements

The duties of the post involve Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act. Successful applicants will be required to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member in respect of Regulated Work with either or both of these groups as appropriate.

Please note that PVG members' records are constantly updated with any new vetting information that arises. Any information that is disclosed on a PVG Scheme Record or Scheme Record Update, if relevant to the post being applied for, will be discussed with the applicant prior to any formal offer of employment being made.

Working Arrangements

This is an "as and when" required post to cover annual leave and sickness. The post can be based across the authority depending where the cover is required. The hourly rate for the post is £13.59.

Please note that a full current driving licence (with no more than 6 penalty points) and the ability to achieve the 'permit to drive' for Council vehicles is essential for this post.
