About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Volunteering and Community Engagement Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to work with our property team at Killerton, one of the National Trust's largest special places.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support volunteer managers across the property in improving the volunteer experience and increasing support in targeted ways.
  • Develop and implement innovative approaches to volunteering, community engagement, and partnership working.
  • Build effective and collaborative relationships with property leadership peers and their teams, and partners.
  • Lead the development of an inclusive culture and embed the 'Everyone Welcome' value.
  • Support the General Manager in developing and implementing the property business plan.

Requirements

  • Understanding of good practice in volunteering, volunteer recruitment, and volunteer management.
  • Experience of community engagement, participation, and partnership working.
  • Practical and successful experience in developing and implementing innovative approaches to volunteering.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislative requirements relating to the role.
