Data Science Expert in Health Research

We are seeking a highly experienced and innovative Data Science Expert to join our team at the University of Exeter. The successful candidate will have a strong track record of academic research and education, as well as strategic leadership and collaborative engagement.
About the RoleThe Professor of Aplied Data Science and Health will contribute to the development of research and education in data science applied to health and healthcare. They will build on the University's strengths in this area and provide outstanding research and educational expertise.
The role will involve engaging with and leading on opportunities to develop research and education in data science applied to health and healthcare, working closely with the University's Institute for Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (IDSAI).
Responsibilities- Contribute to the strategic development of PenCHORD, the Peninsula Collaboration for Health Operational Research and Data Science;
- Extend PenCHORD's national and international reputation as a highly impactful research and education group;
- Provide senior leadership in health data science across the University of Exeter Medical School;
- Freedom to pursue your intellectual interests and work creatively across disciplines;
- Support teams that understand the University-wide research and teaching goals;
- An Innovation, Impact and Business directorate that works closely with academics providing specialist support for external engagement and development;
