Senior Speech and Language Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech and Language Therapist to join our team at Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a Senior Speech and Language Therapist, you will play a key role in providing specialist assessments and treatment to patients with stroke and acquired neurological disorders.
Main Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will have a strong background in dysphagia and experience working with complex ethical issues regarding nutrition and hydration. You will work closely with the multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care and support the Clinical Lead and existing Senior Speech and Language Therapists. You will also contribute to the education, training, and development of the team and participate in service development and quality improvement projects.
Person SpecificationWe are looking for a candidate with a professional degree in speech sciences or a related field, a Certificate to Practise, and membership of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists and the Healthcare Professions Council. You will also have recognised formal training in relevant specialisms, such as post-basic dysphagia training and full competencies in cognitive neuropsychology approach, dysphasia, dyspraxia, and dysarthria assessment and management.
