We are seeking a highly skilled Speech and Language Therapist to join our team in the Stroke and Neurology Pathway at Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work closely with healthcare professionals to provide specialist assessments and treatment to patients with acquired neurological communication disorders.
Main DutiesThe successful candidate will have specialist experience and post-basic qualification in dysphagia. You will be responsible for delivering specialist assessments and treatment, supporting the Clinical Lead and existing Senior Speech and Language Therapists, and contributing to the education, training, and development of the multidisciplinary team. You will also undertake PDA's and service evaluation, including audit.
Person SpecificationWe are looking for a candidate with a professional specific degree in Speech Sciences or a related field, and a Certificate to Practise. You will also need to be a Member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists and the Healthcare Professions Council. Essential criteria include recognised formal training in relevant specialisms, such as post-basic dysphagia training and full competencies in cognitive neuropsychology approach, dysphasia, dyspraxia, and dysarthria assessment and management.
