Transport Operator - Nights
Cullompton - Spar Contract
Gregory Distribution is seeking a Transport Operator - Nights to join our team in Cullompton. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for coordinating the day-to-day running of our depot, ensuring the smooth delivery of goods to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and guidance to drivers, ensuring they have the necessary resources to complete their tasks efficiently.
- Work closely with customers to resolve any issues or concerns, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Manage and debrief drivers, ensuring they are aware of any changes or updates to their routes or schedules.
- Assist in the production of KPIs and daily statistics, providing valuable insights to inform business decisions.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with drivers, customers, and other stakeholders, ensuring a positive and productive working environment.
Requirements:
- Experience in a similar role, with a good working knowledge of traffic management systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work at all levels.
- Strong geographical knowledge of the local area, with the ability to navigate complex routes.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Attention to detail, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
- Ability to work independently, with a flexible approach to your work.
- Proficiency in MS packages, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
What We Offer:
- Salary from £31,000pa to £33,000pa, depending on experience.
- Working hours: 19:00hrs to 05:00hrs, Monday to Friday.
