Transport Operator - Nights
Cullompton - Spar Contract
Gregory Distribution is seeking a Transport Operator - Nights to join our team in Cullompton. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for coordinating the day-to-day running of our depot.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and coordination of transport operations, including dispatch debrief and work in progress for chilled and ambient operations.
- Work closely with customers to ensure smooth operation and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Manage and debrief drivers, ensuring they have the necessary resources and support to perform their duties.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and stakeholders.
- Assist in the production of KPIs and daily statistics to inform business decisions.
Requirements:
- Experience in a similar role, with a good working knowledge of traffic management systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work at all levels.
- Strong geographical knowledge of the local area.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple tasks.
- Attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines.
- Solution-driven and flexible approach to work.
- Able to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
- Proficient in MS packages, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
What We Offer:
- Salary from £31,000pa to £33,000pa, depending on experience.
- Working hours: 19:00hrs to 05:00hrs, Monday to Friday.
