Transport Operator - Nights
Cullompton - Spar Contract
Gregory Distribution is seeking a Transport Operator - Nights to join our team in Cullompton. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for coordinating the day-to-day running of our depot, ensuring the smooth delivery of goods to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and guidance to drivers, ensuring they have the necessary resources and support to complete their tasks efficiently.
- Work closely with our customers to understand their needs and preferences, ensuring we deliver exceptional service and meet their expectations.
- Manage and de-brief drivers, providing feedback and coaching to improve performance and address any issues.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with our customers, responding to their queries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Assist in the production of key performance indicators (KPIs) and daily statistics, providing insights and recommendations to improve our operations.
Requirements:
- Experience in a similar role, preferably in the transportation or logistics industry.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with drivers, customers, and other stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to changing circumstances.
- Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
What We Offer:
- Competitive salary from £31,000 to £33,000 per annum, depending on experience.
- Working hours: 19:00 to 05:00, Monday to Friday.
