Transport Operator - Nights
Cullompton - Spar Contract
Gregory Distribution is seeking a Transport Operator - Nights to join our team in Cullompton. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for coordinating the day-to-day running of our depot.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and guidance on transport-related issues, including dispatch debriefs and work-in-progress for chilled and ambient operations.
- Work closely with customers to ensure smooth operation and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Manage and debrief drivers, ensuring they have the necessary resources and support to perform their duties.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, responding to their queries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Assist in the production of key performance indicators (KPIs) and daily statistics, providing insights and recommendations for process improvements.
Requirements:
- Experience in a similar role, with a good working knowledge of traffic management systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work at all levels.
- Strong geographical knowledge of the local area, with the ability to navigate and optimize routes.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and quality in all aspects of work.
- Ability to work under pressure, meeting deadlines and delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility and adaptability, with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
- Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
