Job Overview: As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs in a specialist setting. Your primary responsibility will be to provide one-to-one support and guidance to students, helping them to overcome challenges and reach their full potential.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Deliver high-quality support and guidance to students with special educational needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to develop and implement individualised education plans.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting social interaction and engagement among students.
  • Monitor student progress, identifying areas of strength and weakness and developing targeted support strategies.

Salary Information: £90-£115 per day DOE

The Ideal Candidate:

  • A minimum of two years of experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a specialist setting, or equivalent experience in care or as a support worker.
  • Experience working with autistic learners (verbal and non-verbal) is preferred but not essential.
  • A compassionate and patient approach, with a genuine desire to support and inspire students.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
