We are seeking a highly skilled SEN Teaching Assistant - Behaviour and Autism to join our team at Dunbar Education. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with autism and behavioural challenges in a primary school setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct support to students with autism and behavioural challenges, tailoring interventions to meet individual needs
  • Implement behaviour management strategies in collaboration with teachers, ensuring a positive and conducive learning environment
  • Foster social skills and emotional regulation in students, encouraging them to engage positively with peers and staff
  • Monitor and document student progress, offering insights and feedback to inform ongoing support and interventions
  • Build trusting relationships with students, promoting their confidence, independence, and overall well-being
Requirements
  • Experience working with children with autism and behavioural needs, ideally in a primary school or SEN setting
  • A strong understanding of autism spectrum disorders and effective behaviour management techniques
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient and empathetic approach to supporting students
  • The ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create a cohesive support plan
  • A proactive attitude and a genuine passion for making a difference in the lives of students
Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position is £25,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience. You will also receive a range of benefits, including professional development opportunities and the chance to work in an Outstanding-rated school.
