Job Summary:

We are currently seeking an experienced Children's Social Work Team Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have post-qualifying experience in children's social work, with a strong understanding of child development and placement management. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing support and supervision to foster care workers, ensuring the highest standards of care and services delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of social workers, providing guidance and coaching to ensure high-quality service delivery
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to improve child outcomes and placement stability
  • Collaborate with local authorities, schools, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and coordination
  • Conduct regular visits to foster homes, assessing and evaluating the quality of care provided
  • Monitor and report on team performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions

Requirements:

  • Post-qualifying experience in children's social work, with a strong background in placement management and team leadership
  • Degree in Social Work (Degree/DipSW/CQSW)
  • Social Work England registration
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, partners, and service users
