Nursing Education Specialist

An Exciting Opportunity for a Dedicated and Professional Nursing Educator
About the RoleThis integral role will develop, lead and implement the service's education and training plan for the centre. The post has a responsibility for supporting staff and enabling practice development based on best available evidence.
Key Responsibilities:
- To develop and support the education and training needs of the clinical healthcare workforce.
- To contribute towards the delivery of the strategic aims and objectives set out in the organisational Clinical Education Strategy and Framework at the designated Service.
- To demonstrate clinical expertise and credibility in clinical practice by being a role model at all times.
- To participate in the development of policies and guidelines within the service.
- To support the delivery of any research being carried out in the centre and across the organisation to promote evidence-based practice and quality service delivery.
The successful candidate will possess:
- Educated to degree level (level 6 or working towards).
- Registered Clinical Professional (registered with NMC, HCPC).
- Evidence of Practice Supervisor/Practice Assessor training.
- Evidence of continuous professional development.
- Experience in a clinical role in specialist healthcare.
- Working knowledge of training needs analysis, planning and facilitation of adult based learning, mandatory and priority training requirements, different learning styles and application in delivering education and training.
- Working knowledge of clinical assessment skills for clinical non-registered and registered staff.
- Skilled in coaching and supporting staff and volunteers, appraisals, inductions, mentoring and preceptorship.
