We are looking for a seasoned Business Process Lead - Payroll to join our team at Protalent. With a solid understanding of payroll operations, this individual will oversee the management of a team responsible for processing multiple payrolls for various clients.

The successful candidate will possess exceptional leadership skills, enabling them to drive team performance and ensure timely completion of tasks while maintaining high-quality service standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for client queries and concerns regarding payments, deductions, and general matters.
  • Implement process improvements to boost team productivity and efficiency.
  • Identify and resolve operational issues promptly.
  • Calculate accurate pay amounts, considering deductions, overtime, SSP, bonuses, etc.
  • Manage pension contributions, income tax, national insurance, and other relevant deductions.
  • Process multiple payrolls with varied frequencies.
  • Input data into payroll software for weekly and monthly payments.
  • Prepare detailed payroll reports for record-keeping purposes or managerial review.
  • Discover and resolve discrepancies in time-sheet and payroll records.
  • Cooperate with HMRC on notification matters.
  • Familiarity with Sage payroll and Brightpay is beneficial.
