Mental Health Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Mental Health Practitioner to join our Crisis Team within Wakefield CAMHS. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to children and young people who are experiencing mental health difficulties.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in mental health, with experience of working with children and young people in a clinical or therapeutic setting. You will be able to assess and manage risk, provide evidence-based interventions, and work collaboratively with other professionals to achieve positive outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Provide assessment and treatment to children and young people with mental health needs.
- Promote the safeguarding and welfare of children and young people.
- Work collaboratively with other professionals to achieve positive outcomes.
We are looking for a candidate who has:
- Substantial post-qualification experience working with children and young people in a mental health or other complex care setting.
- Clinical/therapeutic knowledge and skills in mental health.
- Experience in assessment and risk management and ability to implement evidence-based practice.
- Experience of safeguarding children and young people.
