Mental Health Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Mental Health Practitioner to join our Crisis Team within Wakefield CAMHS. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to children and young people who are experiencing mental health difficulties.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in mental health, with experience of working with children, young people, and their families. You will be able to provide assessment and treatment to children and young people with mental health needs, promote safeguarding and welfare, and work collaboratively with other professionals to achieve the best outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Provide assessment and treatment to children and young people with mental health needs
- Promote the safeguarding and welfare of children and young people
- Work collaboratively with other professionals to achieve the best outcomes
We are looking for a candidate who has:
- Substantial post-qualification experience in mental health, with some experience of working with children and young people
- Clinical/therapeutic knowledge and skills in mental health
- Experience in assessment and risk management, and the ability to implement evidence-based practice
- Experience of safeguarding children and young people
- Experience of community settings
- Knowledge and experience of working with Equality and Diversity
