Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Speech and Language Therapist (SLT) to join our team as a Clinical Specialist for Children. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, providing specialist clinical services to children with developmental speech and language delays/disorders/social communication/feeding or swallowing difficulties.

In this role, you will be responsible for assessing the needs of children referred to our service and developing and implementing tailored treatment plans to support their communication skills. You will also work closely with parents, carers, schools, and other professionals to ensure that children receive the best possible care and support.

Main Duties:

  • Manage and prioritize your caseload independently, demonstrating strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Assess the need for, develop, and implement Speech and Language Therapy treatment to children with a wide range of speech, language, and communication difficulties.
  • Deliver Speech and Language Therapy provision to children as specified in Education Health and Care Plans, ensuring that they receive high-quality care and support.
  • Demonstrate clinical effectiveness by using evidence-based practice and outcome measures relevant to the field.

Requirements:

  • Recognized SLT degree
  • Registration with Health & Care Professionals Council
  • Registered member of RCSLT
  • Completion of dysphagia competencies
