Clinical Communication Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Speech and Language Therapist (SLT) to join our multidisciplinary team at Cygnet in Dundee, Scotland. As a Clinical Communication Specialist, you will work closely with patients, families, and carers to develop effective communication strategies and promote optimal independence.

The successful candidate will have strong clinical skills, excellent interpersonal abilities, and a passion for working with individuals with learning disabilities, autism, and complex behaviours. You will be accountable to the onsite Highly Specialist & Lead SLT for Scotland and will work alongside staff, families, friends, and carers to deliver high-quality care.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing individualized communication plans for patients;
  • Collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care;
  • Providing education and training to staff on communication techniques;
  • Participating in multidisciplinary meetings to discuss patient progress and goals.
