Job Title: Clinical Pharmacy Specialist - Community Hospital

  Shropshire Community Health NHS Trust, a leading healthcare provider in Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin, seeks an exceptional Clinical Pharmacy Specialist to join their team.

Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

About the Role:

We are looking for a highly skilled pharmacist to work as part of our community hospital team. As a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, working closely with medical and non-medical staff to provide effective medicines management services. You will also contribute to policy development, audit, and research initiatives affecting pharmaceutical use across the Trust.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To support the delivery of an efficient medicines management service by working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team.
  • To provide input into policy, procedures, and research affecting pharmaceutical use at SCHT sites.
  • To liaise with the outsourced pharmacy supply function to ensure provision of an effective dispensing and supply service.
  • To support the training and development agenda for clinical practitioners and non-medical prescribing practitioners.
  • To provide holiday or study leave cover for other pharmacists and deputise for them at meetings.
  • To provide clinical supervision of pharmacy technicians.

Requirements:

  • Masters' Degree in Pharmacy or equivalent.
  • Able to work as part of a wider team with medical and non-medical staff.
  • Communicates effectively with medical, nursing, and pharmacy staff.
