Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Pharmacy Specialist to join our team at Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals NHSFT. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, providing pharmaceutical expertise to support the delivery of safe and effective patient care.

About the Role
  • Provide specialist clinical pharmacy services to virtual wards, ensuring the safe and appropriate use of medicines.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimise medicines management, including medicines reconciliation, prescribing, and monitoring.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Conduct comprehensive medication reviews and provide evidence-based recommendations to improve patient outcomes.
  2. Support the development and implementation of clinical guidelines, protocols, and policies related to pharmacy and medicines management for virtual wards.
  3. Provide education and training to healthcare professionals, patients, and carers on medicines-related topics.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in pharmacy or equivalent qualification.
  • Registered as a pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
  • Specialist knowledge acquired through postgraduate study or relevant experience.
  • Registered independent prescriber with the GPhC.
Salary Information

The estimated annual salary for this role is £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
