Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Speech and Language Therapist to join our team as a SLT Team Lead for Acute Care. This is a leadership role that requires strong clinical expertise, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to motivate and guide a team of therapists.

As a Team Lead, you will be responsible for managing a caseload of patients with complex communication and swallowing disorders, providing specialist assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning, and supervising and mentoring junior therapists. You will also contribute to service development, participate in quality improvement initiatives, and represent the SLT department at multidisciplinary meetings.

The successful candidate will have a degree-level qualification in SLT recognized by the RCSLT, current HCPC registration, and significant experience of working in acute care settings. Strong leadership and management skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to motivate and guide a team are essential requirements.

Salary: £50,000 - £70,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
