About the Job:We are looking for a motivated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join our team in a special needs school near Totton, Southampton.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with students who have a range of needs, including profound and complex difficulties, severe learning difficulties, and autism.
Duties and Responsibilities:- Supporting students with complex needs in a classroom setting
- Providing personal care and assistance as needed
- Developing and implementing individualized support plans with the teaching team
- Communicating regularly with parents and caregivers to ensure student progress
- Participating in staff meetings and contributing to the development of the school's policies and procedures
- Experience working or volunteering with children with SEN, preferably in a school setting
- Strong knowledge of special educational needs and behaviors
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good time management and organizational skills
- Competitive hourly rate: £12.25
