Senior Social Services Manager

This is a fixed term post until further notice.
A 2-year secondment vacancy has arisen for a Senior Social Worker within West Dunbartonshire Addictions services, with an estimated salary of £42,000 - £50,000 per annum.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will manage a team consisting of social workers, senior addiction workers, and support staff across Dumbarton and Clydebank locations. They will be responsible for managing and coordinating the delivery and development of needs-led social work services across the Health and Social Care integrated Addiction Team.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be solution-focused, and able to work autonomously as well as part of a team. They will require strong leadership and management skills to lead and motivate their team members.
Responsibilities- Manage and coordinate the delivery and development of needs-led social work services
- Lead and motivate a team of social workers and support staff
- Develop effective partnership working with other local authority departments and external agencies
- Ensure best practice from multi-agency work for individuals experiencing addiction difficulties and their families
This post is considered as Regulated Work with Children and Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act, and as such membership with the PVG scheme is essential. The successful candidate will be required to become members of the relevant PVG scheme prior to a formal offer being made by West Dunbartonshire Council.
