About the Role

Ethypharm, a leading European pharmaceutical company, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Scientist to join our team in Romford. As a key member of our Product Development department, you will be responsible for the formulation and process development of new sterile and non-sterile pharmaceutical products.

Main Responsibilities
  • Formulation and Process Development: Develop and implement new formulations and processes for various liquid dosage forms, including oral liquids, prefilled syringes, vials, and ampoules.
  • Lab Scale Manufacturing: Manufacture lab-scale trial batches for development of robust formulations, adhering to cGMP standards.
  • Protocol Development: Design and develop formulation and process development protocols, following QbD and DoE principles.
  • Equipment Qualification: Support the introduction and qualification of new equipment for the pilot plant, ensuring compliance with quality and regulatory requirements.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Write high-quality technical documents, including batch manufacturing records, protocols, and reports, to support license submissions and product validation.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Project Coordination: Prioritize formulation and process development activities to meet project timelines, working closely with the Senior Analysts and other team members.
  • Team Leadership: Lead or support team members with OOS, OOT, or analytical investigations, and participate in change control and process investigations.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements, ensuring compliance with cGXP and internal SOPs.
About You
  • Education: BSc in Pharmaceutical Science or equivalent.
  • Experience: At least 3-5 years of hands-on experience in formulation and process development, gained within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Skills: Excellent time management, communication, decision-making, and organization skills, with a positive mindset and ability to work in a team environment.
