Job Summary

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical and professional leadership to the team, promoting excellence in patient care and service delivery.
  • Use advanced clinical skills to support and advise on service development, ensuring evidence-based care is delivered in partnership with service users, carers, staff, managers, and other agencies.
  • Support the development of clinical competencies and carry out clinical supervision to ensure staff are equipped to deliver high-quality care.
  • Carry out clinical audits and lead on investigation and learning from clinical incidents, promoting a culture of safety and quality.

Person Specification

Essential

  • Effective inter-personal skills and experience in supervising and mentoring and teaching.
  • Able to demonstrate effective communication skills.
  • Ability to lead/motivate staff to embrace change.

Desirable

  • Non-medical prescribing - V300.
  • Teaching and mentoring qualification.

Experience

  • Evidence of advanced practice skills and able to demonstrate the impact of this on practice change/development.
  • Leadership/management experience which has had a positive impact and created change within the service delivery/practice.
  • Evidence of sound post-registration professional practice.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development (CPD) relevant to the clinical area to advanced level of post-graduate diploma or equivalent knowledge/experiential learning.

Qualifications and Knowledge

  • Be a member of a recognised professional body and hold a current professional registration.
  • Educated to Masters Level or Post Graduate advanced clinical/professional qualification and be able to fully demonstrate equivalent knowledge and experience.
