Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll and HR System Specialist to support the transition of iTrent and COMPASS (Oracle) systems from projects to business as usual (BAU) in the UK. The successful candidate will drive business change and efficiency through HR digitisation, working closely with the Head of HR Solutions to manage shared HR and payroll systems across multiple SYNLAB businesses.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Payroll Administration: Support delivery of SYNLAB managed service payroll, handle data submissions, check payrolls, and provide approvals for BACS and other payments.
  • Pension and Benefits Administration: Manage pension schemes, employment benefits, and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • HR and Payroll Process Development: Develop and implement HR/payroll processes aligned with managed service payroll systems, supporting changes to working practices.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Managing high-volume, time-critical payroll services with relevant Payroll/CIPP qualifications.
  • Confidentiality: Handling confidential, sensitive data.
  • Numerical Skills: Strong numerical skills and experience with manual payroll calculations.
  • Organisational Skills: Proven ability to work to deadlines and manage complex payroll cycles.
  • IT Applications: Extensive experience with IT applications, particularly Microsoft Excel.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong organisational and interpersonal skills for managing workloads and building relationships.
Desirable:
  • NHS Payroll Requirements: Knowledge of NHS payroll requirements and pension schemes.
  • iTrent/MHR Software: Experience with iTrent/MHR software and delivering payroll system projects.
  • PowerBI and Business Analysis: Experience with PowerBI and business analysis.
