About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Mechanical Engineer to join our team as a Design Lead for water industry projects. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for delivering mechanical design content and leading a multi-disciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver mechanical design solutions for water and wastewater projects, including feasibility studies, optioneering, and detailed designs.
  • Lead a team of engineers and technicians to produce high-quality design outputs, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project requirements.
  • Manage and coordinate design outputs from local teams and other water design offices, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Develop and implement innovative design solutions that meet technical and project requirements, while maintaining high technical standards.
  • Manage projects, resources, and budgets, ensuring effective project planning and programming.
  • Lead on contract preparation and manage project-related correspondence, ensuring timely and effective communication with clients and stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in mechanical design for water and wastewater projects, with a strong understanding of sewage and clean water processes.
  • Excellent working knowledge of design software and tools, including AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team of engineers and technicians.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
