The Role

As a specialist occupational therapist, you will be part of a dynamic multi-disciplinary team within NHS Lanarkshire. Your key responsibility will be to manage your own caseload, utilizing evidence-based practice and client-centered principles to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate interventions in both hospital and community settings.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement treatment plans for patients with complex conditions, ensuring a high level of clinical expertise.
  • Provide specialist advice and guidance to occupational therapy staff and other disciplines/agencies.
  • Lead clinical audits and contribute to the development of evidence-based practice within the organization.

Requirements

  • Registered occupational therapist with valid HCPC registration.
  • Postgraduate expertise within a relevant specialty/area of practice.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of clinical guidelines and standards within the specialty/area of practice.

This role will be based in the Rehabilitation Team within Airdrie Community Health Clinic, with a working pattern of days.
