About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Administrative Support Specialist to join our team in the Surgical Directorate at University Hospital Monklands.

Job Summary

This is a fixed-term opportunity for 1 year, with the possibility of part-time hours. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive audio typing and administrative services to a Physician/General Surgeon, Dental Consultant, or group of Physicians/Surgeons/Dental Consultants or Associate Specialists.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality audio typing and administrative support to medical professionals
  • Manage schedules, appointments, and waiting lists effectively
  • Develop and maintain accurate records and databases
  • Communicate effectively with medical staff, patients, and other stakeholders
Requirements
  • Educated to Standard Grade with an RSA or equivalent typing qualification
  • Experience within an office environment, preferably in a medical setting
  • Proficient in software systems and advanced keyboard skills
  • Medical terminology knowledge and good organizational skills
