Job Overview

This role offers a unique opportunity to provide exceptional domestic services to patients, staff, and visitors of NHS Lanarkshire, fostering a safe and welcoming environment that meets the required standards.

You will work alongside and support new staff in the working environment, contributing to the delivery of high-quality healthcare services.

NHS Lanarkshire serves a population of 655,000 across rural and urban communities in North and South Lanarkshire, with the organization comprising Acute Services, Corporate & Property & Support Services, and Health and Social Care Partnerships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver cleaning services that meet the highest standards and related procedures.
  • Undertake on-the-job training and induction to achieve full competency across a range of duties.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of Health & Safety, including participation in risk-assessing individual tasks.
  • Complete NHS Lanarkshire compulsory training and mandatory Health Care Support Workers (HCSW) standards.
  • Successfully complete the NHSS Domestic Services Workbook.
  • Develop effective written and verbal communication skills to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Carry out assigned tasks effectively and efficiently in a busy environment.
  • Utilize basic information technology to support daily tasks.
Work Arrangements
  • This part-time role is based in Domestic Services within University Hospital Monklands.
  • The working pattern for this role: Monday-Thursday 15.00-20.00 & Friday 15.00-19.40.

Please note that this is a part-time post, and the salary for this position will be pro-rata.
