About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Laboratory Corporation. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for carrying out maintenance, fault finding, and installation work on mechanical and electrical building services and associated equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in an integrated maintenance team to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities.
  • Use a range of mechanical and electrical services tools and machines to perform maintenance tasks.
  • Read and interpret mechanical and electrical services drawings and schematics.
  • Use fault finding procedures and equipment manufacturers' manuals to identify and rectify faults.
  • Operate and repair steam boiler plant and associated steam services.
  • Conduct water treatment tests and operate, inspect, and repair hot water heating systems and hot and cold domestic water systems.
  • Repair, install, and fault diagnose electrical equipment and installations in line with current regulations.
  • Operate, inspect, or repair compressed air plant and installations, pumping, and extract systems.
  • Work on drainage systems and weld using gas or electric.
  • Install copper, plastic, or steel pipes using appropriate jointing techniques.
  • Calibrate and commission equipment to standard operating procedures.

Requirements
  • BTEC, City & Guilds, or Apprenticeship in Maintenance, Electrical, or a similar field.
